This zinc alloy vegetable peeler has the solid, balanced feel of a tool you keep for years. The stainless steel blade swivels to follow the shape of whatever you are peeling, so you take off a thin, even strip and keep more of the vegetable. A pointed tip beside the blade digs out potato eyes and blemishes, and the ridged grip stays put in wet hands. Pick the Y-shape for wide, fast strokes on potatoes and carrots, or the straight model for control on apples, cucumbers and small produce. The flat blade gives smooth peels; the serrated blade grips soft skins like tomatoes, peaches and kiwi.
Why you will love it
- Solid zinc alloy body with real weight in the hand
- Stainless steel swivel blade that follows every curve
- Pointed tip for potato eyes and blemishes
- Ridged, non slip grip for wet hands
- Flat blade for firm produce, serrated blade for soft skins
- Y-shape 14.8 cm, straight 15.6 cm
Which one to choose
- Y-shape: wide strokes for potatoes, carrots, squash and cucumber
- Straight: close control for apples, pears and smaller produce
- Flat blade: clean, thin peels on firm vegetables and fruit
- Serrated blade: grips soft and slippery skins such as tomato, peach and kiwi
Care
Rinse the peeler under warm running water straight after use, brush out any peel caught behind the blade and dry it. Hand washing keeps the finish and the blade at their best.
